Data Processing Addendum
Last updated: 3rd August 2026 This Data Processing Addendum applies to JurisTechne Pty Ltd (ABN 77 662 905 375) (“JurisTechne”, “we”, “us”), of 15 Broadway, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia.
1. Scope and roles
This Addendum applies where JurisTechne processes personal information contained in matter data on your behalf. For that data you are the controller (or APP entity) and JurisTechne acts as processor. It forms part of, and is subject to, our Terms of Use and Subscription Agreement.
2. Our obligations as processor
We will: process matter data only on your documented instructions and to provide the services; ensure personnel are bound by confidentiality; implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures; and assist you, as reasonably required, with data-subject requests, breach notification and impact assessments.
3. Confidentiality and segregation
Each customer account is segregated from our model, from other users, and from other firms.
4. Security
We maintain encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging, and least-privilege access.
5. Sub-processors
We do not engage any sub-processors.
6. Data location and sovereignty
We handle data with Australian data sovereignty as a design principle. Where processing occurs outside Australia, we will ensure protections consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Data-subject requests
We will promptly notify you of any request we receive from an individual to access, correct or erase their data, and assist you to respond.
8. Breach notification
We will notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your matter data, and provide information reasonably needed for you to meet your obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Return and deletion
On termination, or on your request, we will return or securely delete matter data within 14 days, except where retention is required by law.
